Awards Special: The IP Woman of the Year
In 2008, Premier Cercle, the organizers of the IP Summit in association with Managing IP, The Wall Street Journal Europe and European Voice, are launching a brand new initiative to recognize the most significant roles played by exceptional women from everywhere in the world towards modernizing the intellectual property field.
As showed in the table below, these awards will be presented into four categories, the highest level being The IP Woman of the Year, aimed at rewarding the most important contribution to IP as a whole.
The IP Woman of the Year
The IP Outsider
The IP Insider
The IP Litigator
This special award will be dedicated to the woman outside the IP world, who has been the most influential in impacting and changing the IP regulations.
This special award will be granted to the woman within the IP community, considered as its representative leader through her decisive actions.
This special award will reward the most persuasive woman who introduced changes to the IP behaviours through significant case-law.
Profile: government rulers, legislators and politicians, well-known lobbyists.
Profile: leaders of patent offices, corpo-rate departments, and IP associations.
Profile: candidates will be judges, attorneys, and trial experts.
After receiving submissions from the entire IP Community, we are pleased to publish a list of the potential nominees that is now submitted to our jury members. You can download this list here.
As soon as the list will have passed the final validation stage, it will be uploaded on this page. A survey will then be conducted across the IP world by our partner in this initiative, a first-ranking and well-established survey institute with numerous branches worldwide.
According to the survey results, the prizes will be handed to the laureates at the occasion of a special ceremony organized during the Gala Reception of the pan-European Intellectual Property Summit 2008, to be held on the evening of December 4 at the Fine Arts Museum in Brussels.
