3A ACT 1: A fresh breeze into windsurfing
Henry Schweitzer’s son has exploited an unnoticed loop-hole in the new UP regulation and has been granted a new unitary patent for a windsurfer based on the original patent application filed in 1968. He has now instructed his lawyers to enforce his new patent… Find out how a classic in patent litigation would be argued today under the new UP Rules of Procedure. This mock up trial will raise numerous procedural issues, including the order of the pleadings, language of the proceedings, application of local law, amendment of the patent, amendment of the pleadings, bifurcation, designation of a technical judge, and many others.
